MESSAGER-GERMAIN FAMILY

Nuits-Saint-Georges

Adèle Germain and Simon Messager are two true children of the terroir.
He is from the Côte de Nuits and she from the Côte de Beaune, both hailing from winemaking families.

Simon began learning the trade with his father from a young age and quickly developed a passion for viticulture.
He learned the basics at the Beaune Wine School and gained experience in renowned estates such as Huguenot, Domaine Bart, and others.

Adèle, for her part, turned to wine commerce. Also a graduate of the Beaune Wine School, she worked in Portugal, South Africa, New Zealand, as well as several years at Château de Pommard. This allowed her to develop her knowledge internationally as well as in France.

It was clear that together they wanted to work and establish their own estate, to cultivate Simon’s father’s vines and develop a négociant structure.

The estate is cultivated organically, without AB certification by choice for cultural freedom.
The vineyard plots extend across the communes of Marsannay-la-Côte, Couchey, and Fixin. The négociant structure is developed to maintain continuity across the Côte de Nuits appellations.
Vineyard and cellar work are carried out exclusively by Adèle and Simon, always maintaining the same precision and meticulousness in every intervention.

The wines from the Famille Messager Germain estate are available in white, made from the Chardonnay grape variety, and red, made from the Pinot Noir grape variety. Each appellation and ‘climat’ is vinified and aged with the utmost respect for the origin and identity of the terroir. Their wines are recognized for their elegance, finesse, and great delicacy.
