Château de l’Étoile, located in the heart of the Jura region within one of the smallest and most prestigious Jura appellations, spans nearly 17 hectares of vineyards cultivated using an approach that is at once pragmatic, respectful, and deeply rooted in “farmer’s common sense.” Every intervention in the vineyard is based on careful observation, experience, and adaptation to the specific conditions of each vintage. Whether it involves soil management, pruning, or treatments, the goal is to preserve the natural balance of the plots while ensuring the grapes are in perfect health.

Drawing on its Burgundian roots, the estate embraces a minimalist, non-interventionist philosophy to allow the terroir of L’Étoile to fully express itself. The winemaking process is handled with discretion to bring out the wine’s character without ever masking its identity. This pursuit of authenticity gives rise to sincere, pure, and vibrant wines that truly reflect a particular vintage, vineyard, and soil.

A new chapter in the estate’s history begins in 2024 with the takeover of the Château by Louis Fourrier, a young winemaker from Gevrey-Chambertin, in partnership with Florian Scatamacchia. Driven by a shared passion, they are committed to preserving this unique heritage with the utmost care and respect, striving to produce wines that remain true to their origins and to ensure a sustainable vineyard for future generations.
